If you have mastered the basics in photography and are considering digitally preparing and producing your special images as prints for display or an exhibition, then this course will provide lots of ideas and tips to achieve this. Triple ‘Australian Landscape Photographer of the Year’ , Nick Melidonis will share his thoughts on creatively seeing and selecting original images and the steps required in readiness to produce a fine art print. Participants will receive feedback on some of the images they have chosen as potential fine art images.
Requirements
- Participants need a good understanding of photography; how to use a digital SLR and basic computer skills
- Participants are asked to bring up to three images of their choosing for feedback on the review night. Images to be in JPEG format up to 1280 pixels on the longest size.
Course Content
- Basics of good composition and learning how to see
- Shooting for maximum quality; RAW vs. JPEG images
- Pre-visualisation for better images
- Choosing images for impact
- Fundamentals of Adobe ‘Lightroom’ and ‘Photoshop’ for digital enhancement – the ‘Fine Art’ digital file
- Preparing images for printing
- Choosing a theme for an exhibition or a body of work
- Options for displaying images
